Pearl (Sikes) Braswell

MIDVILLE, GA - Graveside services for Pearl Sikes Braswell, 91, of Lee Street, Midville, were held Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Midville City Cemetery with Rev. Harry Coursey officiating.
Mrs. Braswell was a native of Burke County, Ga, and was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Midville Baptist Church and a 1943 graduate of Waynesboro High School. She attended Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John David Braswell, Jr. of Midville, who was a retired Master Chief with the U.S. Navy; brother, Minus Sikes, Jr, and sisters, Josie Sikes Durden and Mary Ann Sikes Robingon. Survivors include one daughter, Margaret Braswell Sharkey Paslawski (Joseph) of Washington, D.C.; a son, Mike Braswell of Midville; and one grandson, John Sharkey of Washington, D.C.
Burke Memorial Funeral Home, 842 Liberty Street, Waynesboro, GA is in charge of arrangements.
