James Machino Obituary

James Hayden Machino of Shell Bluff, Waynesboro, Ga. and Nashville, Tenn. passed away on February 20, 2021

He is survived by his three young sons, Hayden Jameson Machino, Cohen Austin Machino, and Laken Cannon Machino.  Surviving Parents Mother; Pamela Poole-Lively Machino (John) of Waynesboro, GA.  Father; Donald D. Machino (Linda) of Lexington, SC.  Father; Ronald Wayne Rogers of Florida.  Grandparents; James D. Poole and Octama Lively Poole (deceased) of Columbia, SC.  Surviving siblings;  Tamela Machino (Brent) of Winter Park, FL.  Jonathan D. Rogers (Debra) of Florida, Erika Jones (Bobby) of Locust Grove, VA, and many other beloved friends, cousins, and family members.

James was in the Food and Beverage industry for over 20 years after graduating from Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, South Carolina.  He's spent a number of years working under the best chefs in the Southeast and worked up to executive chef.  He studied the wine and spirits side of the industry as well as manage the front of house operations for many years in different restaurants at the highest level.  James was featured in numerous magazines and articles as well as won many accolades in both culinary and mixology.  His ultimate goal was to master every level of the restaurant business in order to be the most experienced and successful restaurateur in the field.  James was extremely creative as he designed and decorated several Nashville restaurants and was the owner of 3C catering and events.  Locally in Burke County, he was known for helping host the BBQ at the Masters at Merv's and always in the smokehouse at the Lively's Pond reunions.

Known as li'l Jimmy he was funny, charming, giving, handsome, a Southern Gentlemen, smart as a whip and there wasn't anything that he couldn't do better than anyone else.  He loved his family, his children, and loved his "Lively Land" more than life itself.  His ultimate goal in life was to be a fabulous father to his three Machino boys.  We know the Lord called him home to prepare that soon-coming wedding feast in heaven.
