Clarence J. Benbow

Clarence Junior Benbow, age 78, passed away on June 2nd, 2024 at Piedmont Hospital, Augusta, Ga.  Clarence was a native of Luverne, Alabama and was retired from the U.S.Army where he served in the Vietnam war.  After his military service he continued to work in security at Ft. Eisenhower, formerly Ft. Gordon.  He was the Baptist faith.

Clarence is survived by his wife Bettye, and his son Allen (Tammy ), Rincon, Ga., daughter Carrie (Kevin), Iva, S.C., 3 step-children, David Ennis, Evans, Ga., Michael Peters, Waynesboro, Ga., Christina Hegler ( Dustin ), 12 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held on Thursday, June 6th, 2024 at Burke Memorial Gardens at 11:00 am.  Visitation will be held at 10:00 am, one hour prior to the funeral service at Burke Memorial Funeral Home.
