Mrs. Rae McClellan Marchman, 62, went to be with her Heavenly Father on February 27th, 2021. She was a graduate of Edmund Burke Academy and Augusta State University. She retired after being an educator for 35 years and was a member of the Botsford Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Ga. Rae will forever be known as a woman of many faces. She has always been a loving faithful wife, a Christian caring supportive mother, a precious wonderful grandmother, a friend to all mankind, and a leader of a community that meant the world to her.
She placed her mark the most in the classroom by answering every hand that was ever raised as a teacher who loves all her children. She is preceded in death by her parents R.W. McClellan and Shirley Bragg McClellan, and a brother Ronnie McClellan.
She is survived by her husband Bill Marchman, sons Billy Marchman and Matt Marchman, daughter Jorie Marchman, daughters-in-law Devin Marchman and Sara Marchman, son-in-law Ethan Freeman, grandsons Brice Marchman and Jace Marchman, and sister Renee Sasser.
Family, friends, and students are welcomed to attend visitation on Wednesday, March 3rd, 2021 at Burke Memorial Funeral Home, 842 Liberty Street, Waynesboro, Ga. from the hours of 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 4th, 2021 at 4;00 pm at the Botsford Baptist Church, 825 Botsford Church Road, Waynesboro, Ga. with the Rev. Mike Dann officiating. Burial will follow the Church service at Magnolia Cemetery, 703 West Sixth Street, Waynesboro, Ga.
Pallbearers will be Gary Flakes, Gene Scott, Randy Smith, Ray McClellan, Randy Sasser, Wade Marchman, Michael McClellan, and Russell Flakes. Honorary Pallbearers will be all past and present faculty and students at Burke County High School.
